Celebration Tour - Summer 2016

In Celebration of receiving the Vancouver Island Music Award's Vocalist of the Year, Cari Burdett is performing at the Duncan Showroom on Sunday, June 5th at 7:00pm.

"I'm honoured to receive VIMA's Vocalist of the Year award," says Burdett, "This concert is a time to celebrate the award and to express my gratitude, to my friends and my Cowichan Valley community, for their ongoing support."

This evening promises to be a remarkable event with good friends and musical collaborators Richard Moody (violin), Adrian Dolan (accordion & mandolin), Sean Drabbit (bass), Kelby MacNayr (percussion, and Sara Marreiros (vocalist).

The Celebration won't end here though! This show marks the first stop in Cari's 'Celebration Tour - Summer 2016.' The circuit includes concerts in Sooke, Pender Island, Salt Spring Island, and Vancouver. Highlights will include; Featured Vocalist at Sooke Philharmonid Orchetsra's Summer Fling and an evening concert at Butchart Gardens, complete with fireworks!

Cari's soaring voice will stir your heart as she takes you around the world through song. Her unique style, 'Dramatic Gyspy Cabaret,' is a vibrant, genre-defying, fusion of jazz, folk, opera, and world music; seamlessly blending multiple languages with a timeless, theatrical air.
